Be able to sync with Google Calendar and upload unlimited files.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My expectations for Asana are really great “so many” that it has become indispensable for me. I like Asana because it is an online productivity tool for project planning and task management in a collaborative work environment. The main goal of Asana is to facilitate teamwork so that staff focus on the goals to be achieved and the work to be done. What I enjoy most about Asana is being able to customize everything to my liking, as well as using tasks as ideas, notes or reminders, and within them “tasks” to be able to list series of subtasks. Note: You can sync with Google Calendar and upload unlimited files.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Intuitive & easy use but lacks advanced features

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates Asana from other similar products?

Asana is general purpose tool for managing projects and teams, so it contains all the necessary features that we need in project management tool like task management or timeline management and tracking the status. Unlike other similar tools Asana has real time collaboration feature which makes it collaboration with a larger teams smoother and faster. It also has a mobile app which is useful when you are outside the laptop and want to take a quick glance at the tasks and their status.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite part of using Aasan was to see the timeline of the project along with status of each tasks, this helps see the current state of the project without spending too much time in going into the details. Another favorite feature of Asana is about collaboration, I was able to communicate to teams across the different domains in the Asana itself because this a generalized tool and can be used by all the domains without much friction.

What do you dislike most about this product?

While Asana has a Kanban board support but its capabilities & features are limited. This creates a lot of friction when working in a full agile team for software development. There is lot of manual intervention to make it work.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Go for Asana as it is pretty intuitive and easy to learn even if you do not have any prior experience with project management tools. It also has all the basic features that could suffice your needs in any project management but it lacks depth in the features. If you are willing to buy a paid version then you will get all the features in more depth but it is typically on higher end as compared to other similar tools.
